Indonesia Java International Destination – Banten – Krakatoa Volcano

Krakatoa Volcano located in the Banten region of Java is one of the Indonesia Java International Destination. Krakatoa Volcano is part of the Ujung Kulon national park and Krakatoa Volcano can be easily reached from the Java Island. Krakatoa Volcano, an Indonesia Java International Destination is located in the south west of Java island and is one of the main tourist attraction places. Krakatoa Volcano is considered as one of the most active volcanoes in the country of Indonesia and it is located in the strait between the islands of Java and Sumatra. An eruption occurred in the Krakatoa Volcano about a century ago in the year of 1883 accompanied by fine ashes and wind streams which reached as far as the New York City and the tidal waves that erupted along with it had the capacity to reach the American West Coast. The eruption almost swept off all the surrounding coastal areas due to the formidable tidal wave production. With the disappearance of the majestic Krakatoa, many small islands emerged in its place and one such island is named “Anak Karakatau” meaning the child of Krakatoa and it is considered as one of the young volcano that is extremely active. This island is clearly visible when viewed from the West coast of Java or from the Lampung province in Sumatra.
