Are we aware of what is the definition of depression? Depression is a disorder that is mainly due to mental instability. It is more dependent on the moods or feeling of a person. Hence a depression medication may not be the suitable remedy for the cause. They have their own side effects and disadvantages. But patients with bipolar depression can be treated only with a depression medication. They are caused due to the imbalance of the chemical substance in the brain. This affects the overall activity of the brain. In this case an antidepressant would be the best depression medication. They help to increase the availability of the chemicals that are known as neurotransmitters. These chemicals are responsible for carrying the impulses and signals to the nerves and the brain. Emotions are the result of these chemicals.
But for some case of depression, a depression medication would not fit. In those cases it is best to go for other alternatives like lifestyle changes, therapies, etc. But self help would help in elevating the self-esteem and motivation. It helps in emerging as a mighty power in oneself. From these methods and way, a person can opt for the remedy that would suit and help him and try to overcome the depression within him. However male depression is comparatively low when compared to that in women.
